Sandra Berlin is an acknowledged expert on insuring and risk managing fine art, fine wine and jewelry collections with more than 25 years of experience. Sandra provides consulting to private and corporate collectors, galleries, private dealers and museums. She is in her twelfth year of service at Willis (now Willis Towers Watson) Fine Art, Jewelry & Specie Division.
Prior to Willis, Sandra graduated from the American Society of Appraisers valuation sciences program and worked with Fine Arts Risk Management, Near North for nearly ten years. Before working as a fine arts insurance broker, she was an underwriter at American International Group. This latter experience gave her keen insight into the underwriting process and drives her ability to negotiate creative, competitive insurance programs on behalf of her clients.
Five times, including the most recent rankings for 2016, Sandra has won the “Power Broker” designation from Risk and Insurance in the specialized area of fine art insurance. She has also been published in Private Wealth Advisor. With this wide reach and recognition, Sandra boasts clients throughout the US while maintaining a strong focus on Chicago and the Midwest.
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Chicago.
